200G and 400G systems for data centers

DWDM equipment continues to evolve rapidly; an active competition between the manufacturers of 400G systems was shown at recent OFC-2016 event. All commercial 400G systems currently use two 200G subcarriers (DP-16QAM modulation). Launch of DWDM systems with 400G transmission per single carrier from the leading manufacturers is expected in one year term. Transition from 100G systems to 400G systems enable doubling of the transmission rate in the same spectral range and also reducing the cost of traffic twice, but it also leads to a decrease in transmission distance in several times. 400G systems are necessary for the further development of metropolitan area and regional networks, as well as communications networks of data centers. Russian 400G equipment meets all modern requirements and can be effectively used in communication networks.
