New technological trends of the Earth remote sensing

In 1960-70-ies the Soviet Union occupied the leading position in the world of the Earth remote sensing (ERS). Currently these positions are lost. Russia belongs to no more than 1–2% of the market of ERS. The article describes the general trends of development of the Earth remote sensing. Attention is paid to the use for the purpose of unmanned aerial vehicles. Some of the recommendations for the further development of space technologies and the construction of the earth segment of the Earth remote sensing.
