On the possibility how to organize the mobile communication from HEO satellites in Ku-band
The article discusses the technical possibility of organizing a mobile communication system in the Russian Federation from satellites in high elliptical orbit. Service area covered by 12 narrow 1,7x1,7 deg beams, the customer’s antenna may have a size of 0,4–0,6 m, the total throughput will be about 1 Gbit / s. Users of that system could be passengers of different vehicles – cars, trains, river and sea vessels and aircraft traveling across Russian territory.
