The future of dispatching
communications in the energy industry
Dispatchers are working in the control centers, where they are watching the
process of generation and transmission of electricity and automation of network.
They make decisions about the schedule changes and the transitions of system in
a different modes. By regular work to monitor energy systems is added the need
to make decisions in extreme situations. In its work, dispatchers need to
receive information not only on the technical systems, but also from other
people. The most important component, has a direct impact on the effectiveness
of collective action, are communications. Dispatcher specify the information
needed to address the emerging problem situations and create of action for the
management systems through communications. To create a shared working
environment need to be used as a means of communication systems operating audio
and video, audio and video conferencing, and collaboration tools. Also can be
used adapted systems of unified communications and collaboration UC & C.
